The first race of the Grand Prix takes place on 17th March for runners in Great Britain but there's one runbritain handicap scorer who can't make it because he will be competing in a different opening Grand Prix race in Australia on the same day.

The 2013 runbritain Grand Prix will get underway in two weeks time at the Mizuno Reading Half Marathon. Points will be awarded for the first 250 finishing positions in the men's and women's races with the first British finisher awarded 250 points and the 250th finisher awarded one point. These points will be carried forward to the other races in the Grand Prix with the runner's best four performances counting towards his or her overall total.

Double Olympic Champion, Mo Farah has reduced his runbritain handicap score to MINUS 6.1 after winning the New Orleans Rock and Roll Marathon at the weekend taking .5 from his previous score of MINUS 5.6 that stood after the British Athletics Grand Prix the previous weekend.
