Sam Amend has a handicap score of 1.5, is the at the top of the runbritain Grand Prix leaderboard, ran the 2013 Virgin London Marathon in 2:43:48, is a Run England Leader, athletics coach, race director for two races, mum of two and works full time (but has been stopped in her tracks for a wee while after surgery to repair a torn peroneal brevis tendon in her left foot).

Beverley 10k - the road to recovery for Oliver

On 9 October 2011 the car that Oliver Johnston was travelling in, as he made his way back from the Leon 10k in Spain, left the road, at speed and smashed into a concrete bridge. It was a miracle that he was pulled out of the wreckage alive and he was told that he would never run again. Last weekend he proved the surgeon wrong as he completed the Beverley 10k in less than an hour!
