Weir v Farah

Where would you put your money? Mo Farah or David Weir over 400m.?
David Weir CBE has challenged Mo Farah (handicap MINUS 6.7) to a 400m race.
Weir, who clocks 46 seconds for 400m. has challenged Farah to a race at the inaugural Kew Gardens Junior Wheelchair race, which will be held on 21st September, as part of the Richmond Running Festival that Farah launched last year.
Who do you think is the fastest of the two? Farah ran his final lap of the 5000m, at last year's European Team Championships, in 50.89 and with a 3.28 for 1500m to his credit, this indicates that he should be able to run 400m in 46 seconds (according to McMillan running calculator). This should be a very exciting race between the two athletes. Farah will have the advantage of a faster start, but when Weir gets up to speed Farah will have to dig really deep to hold off Weir the last 100m.

Six time Olympic Champion, Weir, launched this event that aims to help paralympians of the future to succeed, and the event has been added to the Nike Kid's Mile races where Richmond Running Festival and Nike will allow 1000 school children between the ages 4 and 15 to run free of charge. Every child will receive a t-shirt and a special autograph by an Olympian.
