Twell whittle GB kit

Steph Twell stepped out to clock a respectable 10k time in Switzerland. On home soil, there were excellent 5k times in Milton Keynes whilst Aldershot hosted a track meeting that harvested great performances.

At the SM 10km in Belp, Switzerland, Steph Twell (running handicap -1.1) clocked 33:38 over 10km to take third place in women’s race. This performance moves her into eighth place on the runbritain 10k rankings for 2020.  Kyle Fowler (running handicap -1.1), on the comeback trail, managed a respectable 32:29.

In Milton Keynes the NoblePro MK 5km PB Special was a classy affair with winning times of sub 14 and sub 16 for the men's and women's winners.  Australian elites, Ryan Gregson (handicap -2.6) and Gen Gregson were feeling fierce in the windy conditions. Both took top honours in routine workouts with 13:50 and 15:49 respectively.  Adam Clarke (handicap -5.8)  chased home 14:10 with Callan Moody (handicap -4.6) close behind with 14:13 and impressive juniors,  Henry McLuckie (handicap -4.0)  and Alfie Manthorpe (handicap -4.0)  running 14: 13 and 14:29. Eleanor Bolton (handicap -0.8)  was second woman in 16:22  followed Hannah Irwin (handicap -0.2)  in 16:46. At the Aldershot, Farnham & District end of season Track meeting, Amelia Quirk (handicap -1.4) impressed again with a 9:01.5 clocking over 3000m. Equally impressive was the 9:09.6 perfromance from M50 runner Mark Symes (handicap -0.8).
