European youth champion Max Burgin (handicap -4.6)) broke the British Under-20 800m record and age-17 800m record as he led the automatic selections for the European Under-20 and European Under-23 Championships in Bedford.

The 17-year-old ran a huge personal best of 1:45.36 to cut the tape in first place and secure automatic selection for the European Under-20 Championships in Borås, Sweden, whilst also shooting to the top of the British senior rankings and achieving the IAAF World Championships qualifying standard in the process.

At the Golden Spike, Ostrava in the Czech Republic, Charlie Da'Vall Grice (handicap -5.7) scored one of the biggest wins of his career over the mile at the famous Ostrava Golden Spike meeting.
