Andi Jones from Stockport won Race the Train, a 14 mile race by the Talyllyn Railway with the aim of beating the steam train as it runs from Tywyn along the valley to Abergynolwyn and back. Andi has good pedigree on the mountains and hills and went into the race as favourite.  Sarah Ridehalgh from Accrington is also known for her nimble feet on the trails and she was the first female back to the finish. This unique race also has a 3 mile fun run where the runners take the train to the start of their race and try to run back before it makes its return journey. Spectators are able to travel on the train and see the runners as they tackle this tricky course that was given a runbritain SSS score of 4.7 for Saturday's event reflecting the difficulty of the course.

Well done to everyone who ran this weekend! With only one and a half weekends to go before the end of August it's time to register for Reward Running if you still haven't done it. Will you be one of the winners of an adidas miCoach or Sennheiser headphones this month?
