Stockport 10 - 1,117 finishers

Results Base Chiltern XC League - 948 finishers

Bushy parkrun - 885 finishers

West Mids YAL XC - 691 finishers

Scottish West District Championships - 685 finishers

Alan Buckley (handicap -1.7) took 0.3 off his handicap score when he won the Percy Pud 10k with Jonathan Shields (handicap -2.6) in 2nd and Gareth Lowe (handicap -2.3) in 3rd. There were only nine seconds separating them with times of 32:26, 32:31 and 32:34 but 25 years difference in age! Alan is 41, Gareth is 42 and Jonathan is just 17 years old. First woman was Nicola Squires (handicap 2.0) who took 0.1 from her handicap score on this course that was given an SSS of 0.9 reflecting a stiff head wind for the first half of the race.

Runners at the Stockport 10 also had to battle the wind on some parts of the course and contend with a downpour half an hour into the race. This race was given an SSS of 1.5 but its excellent reputation for atmosphere and humour did not disappoint and runners were not only treated to a friendly and challenging race but a unique goody bag at the end that contained, amongst other things, a game of 'Bottom Trumps' that featured some of the runners in the race!
