The Standard Chartered Dubai 10k, that is run on the same day as the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon, saw Ian Le Pelley (handicap 5.8) take a huge 2.4 off his handicap score by running a time of 34:21. Patrick Tweedale (handicap 2.4) also took 0.8 off his score with a time of 34:45. John Carney (handicap 3.4) was the next British runner home. His score also went down by 0.9 for the time of 35:04. Emma Phillips (handicap 5.4) was the first British woman. She also had an outstanding run with a time of 36:39 and a reduction of 0.6 in her score.
