Weekend results including fastest ever female parkrun

Charlotte Arter welsh Ath 181118

With County Cross-Country Championships being held over the weekend, some parkruns were lower on numbers than usual, but the quality was still high as Charlotte Arter hit new parkrun heights.

The first weekend of 2019 saw numerous great running performances, no more so than Charlotte Arter's (handicap -1.6) 15:50 performance at the Cardiff parkrun. This represented the fastest ever for women in a parkrun and shows that the top performer at the recent European cross country championships is maintaining her fine form.

Zac Randall (handicap -1.6) achieved the fastest time for a UK male at the notoriously fast Dulwich parkrun with 15:11.

Laura Muir (handicap -2.1) set an awesome 14:52 5000m indoor performance on Friday night in the Glasgow BMC event, with Sol Sweeney (handicap -5.1) also impressive with a 7:56 3000m performance.
