The runbritain rankings system

It's been quite a weekend for racing with many of you ticking off your half marathon targets at Bath, Silverstone, Llanelli Waterside and Eastbourne.

Since the weekend we have added the results of 222 races and are ready to add more as the race directors publish them. The numbers finishing in the four big half marathons added up to to more than 20,000:

Bath Half Marathon - 11053 finishers
Silverstone Half Marathon - 6188 finishers
Llanelli Waterside Half Marathon - 1658 finishers
Eastbourne Half M arathon - 1582 finishers

Susan Partridge finished 2nd in the women's race at Bath after being pipped at the post by  Polline Wanjiru but will be celebrating nonetheless as her time of 70 minutes and 31 seconds is the fastest she has ever run for the distance and it reduced her handicap score from MINUS 0.9 to MINUS 1.4, taking her within a whisker of the two at the top of the ladder, Julia Bleasedale (MINUS 1.8) and Jo Pavey (MINUS 1.7).

Did you race at the weekend and did you lower your runbritain handicap score? If you're not in the system sign up today because the race that you ran in probably is! Handicap scores range from MINUS 6.1 (Mo Farah) to 36 and you are somewhere in between!
