Weekend Domestic Round-up

Wales
The Cardiff 10k saw fireworks at the front with a three-nation battle for victory. Dewi Griffiths (handicap -5.5) confirmed that his recovery from injury is well on track ahead of Matt Clowes (handicap -5.5) who ran a 29:19 PB. Jake Smith (handicap -4.4) ran a massive PB of 29:31 for third.
Lily Partridge (handicap -1.9) was a popular winner in the women's event in 33:27 over a minute ahead of Rachel Felton (handicap 0.1).
England
The returning Andrew Butchart (handicap -3.6) came up against the in-form Marc Scott (handicap -6.4) at the Trafford 10k. It was Scott who prevailed in an impressive 28:57 ahead of Butchart's 29:28.
Jess Piasecki (handicap 6.2) dominated the women's event in 32:52 ahead of Eleanor Davis (handicap -0.2) who ran 33:57.
Ireland
Stephen Scullion (handicap -6.6) ran a 10 mile PB to win the Frank Duffy Dublin 10 mile event in 49:19, pulling away in the final mile for a 20 second victory over Celtic rival Josh Griffiths (handicap -5.1) who also ran a PB in 49:41.
Andrew Annett (handicap -2.2) and Ann-Marie McGlynn (handicap -0.4) were the winners of the Northern Ireland Commonwealth trial race at the Waterside Half Marathon.
Gladys Ganiel (handicap 1.4) was the winner at the Laganside 10k in Belfast from Laura Bickerstaff, (handicap 4.1) both well ahead of Paula Radcliffe (handicap 8.3) who took in the views at a more leisurely pace. Ben Branagh (handicap -3.6) won the overall title in 32:07.
Scotland
Robbie Simpson (handicap -4.3) was one of many elites out in the park for a parkrun at Aberdeen running something closer to his marathon pace in 15:38.
