Warrington wins October Reward Running

Congratulations to all of our prize winners in October’s edition of Reward Running, the penultimate competition of the year (with the bonus November competition now well under way).

A summary of October's winners is below:

  1. Emma Jane Warrington: took the overall victory and category 4 win with an overall handicap improvement of 5.74, taking her from 29.25 to 23.51
  2. Bob Allsopp (Harborough): started the month as a category 3 athlete with a handicap of 18.56 and earned the section victory, finishing with a handicap of 13.18, an improvement of 5.38.
  3. Henry Merriweather: handicap improvement of 5.23
  4. Aimee Cook (Tyne Bridge): an early leader in the competition; finished with a handicap improvement of 5.20
  5. Dervish Bartlett (Barking): a mid-month leader; finished with a handicap improvement of 5.01
  6. Steve Dickson: handicap improvement of 4.69
  7. Steve Marsh: handicap improvement of 4.64
  8. Bob Capel (Swindon): the category 2 winner after reducing his handicap from 9.99 to 6.24, an improvement of 3.75
  9. Peter Harris (Slinn Allstars): awarded the regular racer title for the month (and a definite regular at Swindon parkrun!) and has a handicap improvement for the month of 3.65
  10. John Yells: winner of the category 1 award with a handicap improvement of 2.03, taking him from 5.93 to 3.90

All winners - including spot prize winners Doug Bryden (Red Rose), Paul Dagg (Gainsborough & Morton), Pippa Cresdee (Ipswich Jaffa) and Russell Brown (Datchet/Worthing Striders) should have now been contacted.
