In celebration of the Ikano Mini Marathon and in order to inspire creativity in young people the race, organisers are calling all children aged between 4 and 16 years to create and submit a design for the race t-shirts. The prize package for the winner includes a special individual trophy, free entry to the Ikano Mini Marathon and £100 for their School's Art Department, as well as the unique opportunity to see their design on race t-shirts proudly worn by over 1,500 runners on race day.
“Every participant taking part in the Ikano Mini Marathon receives a t-shirt, and it’s always a great sight to see runners of all ages at the start line in their race t-shirts,” said Vivienne Saunders, Communications Manager at Ikano Financial Services. “This year we wanted to inspire and encourage children to get involved in a creative way and we look forward to receiving lots of exciting designs.”
