Tour of Tameside 2020 & 2021 - Important announcement and new events

The Running Bee Foundation, organisers of the Tour of Tameside, have announced that there will be a Virtual Tour of Tameside in May and June and a Festive Tour in December before the Tour of Tameside, as we know it, resumes in June 2021.

Given the huge changes COVID-19 has brought to our communities, it was expected that the Tour of Tameside race dates would change. Given the pressure our essential services are and will be under in the following months, the Running Bee foundation have made the decision to go beyond the current estimated dates of when events are able to function again, to give these services ample time to recover and recuperate.

With this in mind, the 2020 Tour of Tameside, scheduled for 11th to 14th June, will not take place but all existing entries will automatically move to the return date in June 2021.

Provisional dates for the 2021 Tour of Tameside will be the 10th to 13th June.

However, to ensure you are able to get your Tour of Tameside ‘fix’ this year, Running Bee Foundation are delighted to announce two brand new events:

1. The Virtual Tour of Tameside, scheduled for May and June 2020

2. The Festive Tour of Tameside Weekender, scheduled for  Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December 2020

Details of both of these events will be released at the end of April so please keep an eye out on your emails and the Running Bee Foundation social media channels.
