Award-winning events company Threshold Sports today unveiled its event plans for 2021, by announcing the launch of ‘The Comeback Is On’ campaign.
Like many mass participation events businesses, Threshold’s 2020 events were cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. In their place, Threshold launched their first ever virtual event, the Dixons Carphone ‘Virtual’ Race to the Stones –which saw more than 8,000 people take part and raise over £50,000 for charity.
The 2021 event series will commence in May with two events – the Dulux London Revolution Cycle and Dulux London Revolution Trails – with seven events in total due to take place next year. Places for the 2021 events are officially open and available to enter. To secure your event place, visit www.thresholdsports.co.uk/
The events will adhere to all government and WHO guidelines at the time of the event, with appropriate precautions to ensure the highest quality of care, support, and comfort for all participants. Staggered start lines, social distancing, posted registration packs and increased safety measures at pitstops are just some of the measures that will be implemented.
Threshold’s events helped to raise over £16m for partner charities in 2019 alone and the senior leadership team want to do everything they can to help support those charity partners as the 2021 Event Series returns.
Threshold Sports CEO, Nick Tuppen, commented: “Covid-19 has put charities under enormous strain.
It will take time to stabilise the charity sector, but we believe we as a mass participation industry have a responsibility to help in every way we can.
“After this year’s hiatus, we are hugely excited to announce the launch of the 2021 Event Series and cannot wait to welcome back our runners, walkers and riders on the start line once again.”
He added:“Due to the cancellation of this year’s events we have moved anyone that was already signed up this year and offered them a race place in 2021. Therefore, demand for places is already high and we would encourage anyone who is interested in taking part to sign up as soon possible to avoid missing out on a race place”
