Bud's Run

The third running of 'Bud's Run', takes place on 9th October and the target is £50k for Parkinson's UK.  This can be done with your help! Online entries are being accepted up until 6th October and you will also be able to enter on the day at an additional cost of £2.

Remember to download the sponsorship form from the Bud's Run website and take it along on the day or add any monies you've raised to the event page http://www.justgiving.com/budsrun

There are individual and team challenges as part of Bud's Run 2016 with prizes galore.
 
So what's really happening on 9 October?

See below for the all important timings and extra events planned for the day. The event will centre around the magnificent Chancellor's Court area of the University of Birmingham campus.

09:30 Event opens 
10:20 5k warm up with 3000m steeple chaser Sara Treacy (recently returned from Rio)
10:30 5k event (walk, jog or run) 
11:30 Under 11s dash - remember entry is by donation on the day 
12:00 Prize giving (top 3 male/female/corporate and u11s)
12:10 Q & A with some of the #Baldaroelite based at the University of Brum
 

Plus fancy the Bud's Run owl on your cheek, arm or leg?  A fabulous face painter will be busy from 9:30.  Costa will also be open from 9:30.  Big thanks to Alison Leonard and friends who will be giving GBBO contestants a run for their money with their fabulous cakes.  Fancy a post race sports massage?  For £5 you can make sure you go home with legs a little less stiff. 


In need of some post run sustenance? Old school bacon baps and beer will be available! Fill your boots before heading to the lecture theatre for an informal Q & A with some of Bud's current athletes.
 

Let's not forget the raffle with x 2 tickets to the IAAF World Championships in London 2017, x 2 entries for the ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon plus top to toe outfits from ASICS and premium liquor among the prizes. Tickets will be sold on the day.  

Make sure you take your running shoes, some pennies and a smile and have some fun in aid of Parkinson's UK.
