The Derby 10 Mile road race 2019 – exciting new venue, new route, new start and finish!

After the huge success of the previous three Western Power Distribution10 Mile events, this year’s race - having now sold out its 2000 places –will take place on Sunday 17th November.

One of the biggest running events in Derby – the Western Power Distribution Derby 10 Mile - returns to Derby in November with an exciting new venue, route and start and finish at the iconic Derby Arena.

With minimal road closures and ample car parking, runners will enjoy a brand new start and finish and an amended routewhich will still take in the beautiful grounds of Elvaston Castle Country Park. The course remains flat and fast, providing the potential for a personal best.

With a brand new Race Village, Derby 10 Mile finishers will receive a technical finishers’ t-shirt, bespoke medal and specially commissioned item from headline sponsor, Western Power Distribution.

Western Power Distribution deliver electricity around the clock to homes and businesses in the area (almost 8 million customers) by maintaining and upgrading the electricity infrastructure – pylons, poles, cables and substations. Derby Distribution Manager, Simon Havill, said “We are delighted to be involved in the Derby 10 Mile again this year and have enjoyed seeing it go from strength to strength since it launched in 2016 to become a firm favourite in the running calendar.
