'Step Up 4 Good' at Greenham Common over 5k, 10k and the Fun Run

This is the third year Greenham Trust have hosted this popular mini mile, 5k, 10k and family fun running event, which aims to raise money for local good causes is being held Sunday 14th October at Greenham Common, Newbury. 

 

For more than 20 years, Greenham Trust has been working with the local community, authorities and other charities to better the lives of people in Newbury and surrounding areas. Step Up 4 Good is promising to be a wonderful event yet again, that brings together people from all walks of life, to raise money for fantastic causes via The Good Exchange  https://thegoodexchange.com/  They attracted 800+ runners last year, and look to reach the 1000 mark, making this year’s event even bigger and better.

Races can be entered by all ages and abilities and every registered (paid) participant will receive a technical t-shirt, chip timing, medal and a goody bag. The first race (mini mile) will begin at 10:30am, after a fun warm-up session.  

As well as the excitement of the runs themselves, there will be local mascots ready to cheer runners around Greenham Common, which provides a scenic, flat, off-road course. There will be sports masseurs on-site to help ease any aches and pains, a variety of refreshments and hot food will be available, along with a children’s entertainer and many charity and local businesses within the race village.
