#clickyourclock and take us over 1000 again this week!

More than 1000 runners entered the #clickyourclock competition last week as the summer season gathers pace across Britain!
This weekly competition runs during the spring and summer months. Each week a random draw is made from all runners on the #clickyourclock leaderboard whose scores have improved by any amount in the preceding seven days and the prize is a Polar FT1 heart rate monitor. Last week, we hit our highest number for this year with 1010 clocks clicked and we are aiming to stay in quadruple figures as the season conitnues.
Did you race during the last week? Many of the results are now in. Make sure you #clickyourclock on yours before 0830hrs on Thursday morning to be in with a chance of winning the Polar FT1 heart rate monitor. There are still lots of results that have clocks to be clicked from what has been a very busy week. Some of the bigger races were:
Plusnet Leeds Half Marathon - 6,753 finishers
Oxford Town & Gown 10k - 3,665 finishers
City of Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10k - 3,190 finishers
Beverley 10k - 1,567 finihsers
Bushy parkrun - 1,330 finishers
Strabane Lifford Half Marathon - 1,204 finishers
Currently, Joanne Hetherington (handicap 24.5) heads the leaderboard with a massive 2.21 handicap improvement! Joanne ran the Beverley 10k along with 1,567 others and Bertie Beaver (pictured) in what was the biggest field ever and in lovely running conditions. Her 58:18 give her a spike on her handicap graph and has put her top of the leaderboard for now. Maybe you did even better?
This is a very busy time of year for racing with plenty of races on the calender, during the week as well as at weekends, and evening races gathering pace as the nights get lighter. Claim your handicap now and be ready to #clickyourclock after your race this week!
Good luck!
