Stadium Announcers' workshop with Stuart Storey - Register your interest

England Athletics are pleased to announce that legendary sports commentator Stuart Storey has kindly agreed to put on a workshop where he will share his expertise and knowledge with budding commentators who are enthusiastic to cover athletics events.
The course will look at
· Pre meeting preparation required including administration, personnel appointments, and a thorough look at the stadium and its facilities including the sound system and the announcers' area.
· The priorities on the day of the meeting and during the meeting itself.
· The way in which to set up the team which will cover the meeting from the announcers' area and on the track.
· The principles and techniques of announcing in great detail.
Stuart recently retired from commentating after 44 years of covering world class athletics events, including nine Olympic games between 1976 and 2008. He was subsequently inducted into the England Athletics Hall of Fame in October 2017.
We anticipate the workshop will take place in early Spring and places will be limited to 10. The cost of the workshop will be £20. If applications exceed the number of spaces available we will contact the 10 most suitable candidates, and provide them with a link to book onto the workshop directly.
