runbritain Grand Prix: two down, three to go

In a bid to maintain the quality of the British fields at the remaining three events of the 2012 runbritain Grand Prix, athletes ranked in the top 250 British runners based on the current 2012 runbritain Grand Prix standings (after two events) should have now received their personal invitation to enter those remaining races (men and women), beyond the usual public closing date.
Entries for the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k on Sunday 23 September have now closed but you can still enter the final two events in the series:
*Bristol Half Marathon (Sunday 30 September at 9.30am): you can enter up until Monday 24 September at www.runbristol.com/HalfMarathon/35/How-to-enter.aspx
*Perkins Great Eastern Run (Half Marathon, inc UK Championships): Sunday 14 October at 10.30am: you can enter up until Monday 8 October at www.perkinsgreateasternrun.co.uk/index.php/enter/enter-on-line
The last of the spring races, the Bupa London 10,000 in May, produced one of the best in-depth domestic results in the past two decades, with Mo Farah winning the men's race. In spite of his victory and time-related bonus points, however, he’s only fifth in the overall Grand Prix standings with 450 points from one race, while Jon Pepper - who has gained solid points in the opening two events - is the current men's leader on 482 points.
The lead is shared in the women’s runbritain Grand Prix, with Juliet Doyle and Emily Wicks tied at the top with 492 points after solid performances in the opening two events. In fact, every athlete in the women’s top ten has raced both events in the Grand Prix to date and only 112 points split the group.
Remarkably, only 103 points split the men’s top ten, but the notable difference is that the pair in fifth and sixth (Mo Farah and Scott Overall), have only raced once but secured big points when they did.
