Run the inaugural Top of the Wolds 10k Challenge in 2017

The Top of the Wolds 10K Challenge will take place on Sunday 4th June 2017, from the East Yorkshire village of Warter, close to Pocklington.
The organisers, Yorkshire Wolds Runners, have used the nearby Yorkshire Wolds Way, National Trail as the inspiration for this race route. Using the Nunburnholme Wold landscape, as a stunning backdrop, to this undulating 10K multi terrain race.
The rural setting makes this a great event whether it’s your first time or you are a seasoned runner. Run on closed roads, with chip timing, good marshalling, water station and kilometre markers along the route, you will have everything you need to have a great running experience.
The accurately measured route takes you out along scenic rural lanes towards the village of Nunburnholme, which forms part of the Yorkshire Wolds Way.
Take a left turn to climb Nunburnholme Hill, and enjoy the fruits of your labour at the summit, with spectacular and far-reaching views.
Have a well-earned drink at the half way stage, before leaving the road and hitting the Bridleway trail, descending through the Woodland section.
Finally, as you emerge into the sunlight take a right turn and return to Warter village and the finish line.
All finishers will be awarded a memento in addition to snacks and a warm drink, supplied by the award-winning Vanessa Delicatessen & Café.
This is one you will not want to miss.
