Rose comes out top in May Reward Running
Congratulations to all our prize winners in May’s edition of Reward Running.
Spectrum’s Philip Rose was the overall winner and takes home an adidas mi-coach for his efforts; with a handicap improvement of 6.56 and a succession of credible 5k races in the past month, his final handicap for May was 10.9. He was also the top placed category 3 athlete (athlete with a handicap of 13-20 going into the competition).
The top 10 in the Reward Running leader board consists of the runners who have improved their handicap the most in that month.
To enter the main competition, runners need to have done at least two races in the year before the current month, but other runners may be eligible for a spot prize. May was a big bonus month with three spot prizes up for grabs in addition to the main prizes.
After Rose, all of the other athletes in the top ten take home Sennheiser headphones: Helen Crossland, a presence in the top half of the leader board for most of the month, was second and also the top placed category 4 athlete, in addition to earning the ‘regular racer’ credit.
Graeme Curwen finished third overall while Isaac Dunn, the category 2 winner, was fourth.
Steve Campion, Peter Hannam, Christopher Jones, Lynette Adams, Tim Townsend and Andy Burn (also the category 1 winner) also took home Sennheiser headphones in fifth to tenth place respectively, while outside of the top ten, additional spot prizes (also Sennheiser headphones) went to Wes Downes, Nicola Kemp and Vincent Mullan.
Prizes will be sent out as soon as possible following the Bank Holiday.
The full ‘locked down’ May board is available through the following link, but don’t worry if you were too late to enter, get involved with June’s Reward Running which is even bigger and better with four spot prizes up for grabs!
Happy racing!
