The next Road Traffic Management Course will take place on 19 November at Mid Cheshire College, Hartford Campus, Northwich in Cheshire.

This course is for all Event Organisers and Event Marshals both in the commercial and voluntary sectors, and particularly for those involved with road races.  This is a one day course that will equip delegates with sufficient information and knowledge to safely direct traffic movements at Events.
 

Cost: £70 (subsidised cost for applicants who are affiliated to England Athletics) or £140 (non-affiliated cost)

Length: 1 day course (normal times 9am - 4.30pm unless stated otherwise)

This course is for anyone considering undertaking the role of Traffic Management Operative (TMO) and to understand how to deal with road closures and diversions.  You must be trained to do this to be covered by insurance and to satisfy local authorities that events will be managed properly.
The course is suitable for all Event Organisers and Event Marshalls both in the commercial and voluntary sectors and particularly for those involved with road races. 

The Chapter 8 Traffic Management course does not deal with the application process of a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) and what is expected from the applicant. This aspect of race organising is dealt with by Race Director courses delivered by runbritain.

This is a one day course that will equip delegates with sufficient information and knowledge to safely direct traffic movements at Events.

Qualification Gained: This is a national award through the NCFE (http://www.ncfe.org.uk) and each delegate will receive a certificate on completion of the course.

In addition, UK Athletics insurers have underwritten the training.
