Rebecca Rothwell - winner of the Strava competition

We are pleased to announce the winner of our Polar FT4 prize as Rebecca Rothwell (handicap 8.5) for being the half-way runner in the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon who has linked her Strava and handicap profiles.
Rebecca was 1218th in the race out of almost 16,000 so she was certainly a lot higher up than half way, in fact she was in the top 8%. It is noticeable that the Strava connections were from runners that were mostly higher up the field. This is, perhaps, not surprising as those of you who are monitoring your training via the runbritain handicap scoring system and Strava are likely to be more committed and producing better results.
To activate the Strava connection, you need to go onto your runbritain profile page and click the Connect button that is underneath your profile picture. (You can also disconnect this from your Account page). When you click the button, you will be taken to an authorisation page on Strava, if you have an account, or it will go to Strava to explain what Strava is with links to register and/or sign in. Once you have connected, a Strava orange badge will be visible on your profile page and anyone will be able to click it to see your Strava page where you have information of the training you have done in order to achieve your performances. This will give a much broader picture of your training, racing and activity.
Congratulations to Rebecca, who will receive her Polar FT4 heart rate monitor shortly.
