Delivery of virtual events
Although we are spending more time at home and not able to run as we would normally, we have the opportunity to embrace the world of virtual racing and for those that can, to create new events.
Virtual events ask runners to cover a specified distance or to run for a specified time during a designated race window.
Race Directors and Event Organisers must ensure that runners are encouraged to follow all relevant guidance from the government, police and our sport when participating in virtual racing.
Runners should be encouraged to consider the time of day and period of time they exercise, carefully select their route, and apply social distancing to stay clear/give priority to pedestrians and people using public spaces.

Why do I need a virtual race licence?
Virtual races will have UKA Insurance if the organisation is affiliated to the HCAF and the race is licenced.
The race will be listed on the runbritain Race Listing Pages.
Race details (including link to race organisers website) will be added to the Powerof10/runbritainrankings fixtures list and once available, the race organisers official results URL will be published.
How do I get a virtual race licence?
To apply for your virtual race licence just complete the form here and you will be notified once your licence is approved. The virtual race licence will be linked to the account details that you enter so you must be registered as a Race Organiser on runbritain to apply for a virtual licence.
