Quality times in the BMC 3k challenge from junior athletes

Osian Perrin toppled Chris Perry as he posted the top time in the British Milers’ Club (BMC) virtual 3k Challenge over the weekend. Megan Keith and Lauren Cooper tied for the fastest of the women.

Osian Perrin who has a 3000m track best of 8:17.74, gained the top spot with 8:14 from overnight leader Chris Perry (handicap -3.7) with his 8:15. Many others also went below 8:30 too. 

BUCS medallist Lauren Cooper (handicap 1.2) and under-20 CAU cross country champion Megan Keith (handicap 0.0) shared the top of the women’s times with 9:21 as many ohhters also went below 10 minutes for their virtual efforts.

The master athletes also produced some great performances too with Aly Dixon  (handicap -0.5) running 9:40 and James Thie (handicap -1.2) running 8:38 for the best M40 time. 

W55, Clare Elms (handicap 2.1) continued to astound with her 10:14 virtual time.
