Purdue in fine form in Japan
This weekend, Charlote Purdue was an impressive winner in Japan whilst thousands of others enjoyed the 655 parkruns that took place across the country.
Charlotte Purdue (handicap -1.9) was a wonderful winner in the Sanyo Ladies Road Race Half Marathon in Japan in her second best ever time of 68:45. 2020 should be another stellar year for Charlotte!
Jonathan Mellor (handicap -5.8) set a course record at the Stockport 10 when he clocked 49:23 ahead of Nigel Martin (handicap -5.3) and Nicholas Barry (handicap -3.0) who ran 51:46 and 52:37 respectively. Veleska Wills (handicap -5.5) was the top woman in 61:22 with Vicki Cronin (handicap 2.9) in 63:37 and Jenny Knass (handicap 2.4) following behind in 66:38.

The fastest UK parkruns came from Simon Nott (handicap -4.1) and Phillipa Williams (handicap 0.6).
Philippa Williams tops the women’s times with 17:39 at Sheffield Hallam. Williams is in fine form and recently ran 34:59 to finish 3rd at the Percy Pud 10km . She has had some great multi terrain performance too.
Simon Nott, who ran 29:43 for a big PB at Telford, tops this week’s list of parkrun times with his 15:13 at the undulating Old Showfield course in Frome, Somerset.
