Prizes in new age categories at PUMA Stockport 10

The annual PUMA Stockport 10 road race takes place this year on 7 December and the organisers are pleased to announce two new age categories where the winners will receive a pair of PUMA Faas Shoes to help them on their way as they train towards their next performance goal.

The Stockport10 mile road race, renowned for its interesting goody bag, fun atmosphere and friendly marshals, in partnership with performance running brand, PUMA, have announced this new initiative to encourage younger runners to get their racing shoes on and line up at the start.  

The male and female winners of every age category will receive a pair of PUMA Faas and, for the first time, this will include the first man and woman in the 25 - 30 age group and the 30 - 35 age group. After looking at the statistics last year and noticing that the field was dominated by older runners, the organisers and PUMA want to encourage younger runners to take part in 2014. There are also prizes for the overall top ten with cash prizes for the top three.

Race Director, Neil Thompson, said “We are proud to be in partnership with PUMA, who aim to contribute to enhanced running experiences for today’s runners and for the generations to come. We are delighted to be able to reward the winners of every age category, including the younger runners, with product that will do just that and make it easier for them to train for their next successful outing on the roads."
