Polar V800 for Reward Running winner

Polar v800

The results of the Reward Running competition for September are out now!

This competition, sponsored by Polar, rewards runners who have improved their handicap score by the largest amount with a Polar Heart Rate Monitor.

The September winner is Adam Woska (handicap 15.9) who made a massive improvement of 12.806 points. Adam started the month on 28.7 and then ran the Leeds parkrun every week to incrementally take his time down from 28:40 to 21:56. We managed to catch up with Adam and he said "As someone who's just trying to get into running I found Reward Running provided that extra bit of motivation for me to get into the habit of
running during the week in order that I could keep on improving.  So far I've been amazed at how much I've been able to shave off my times every weekend, and whilst I'm not sure how long the improvements will
continue, I'm pretty sure the running habit's here to stay"

Adam will shortly receive a  Polar V800 with integrated GPS for his September improvement.

At the end of each month from March until October, the runner who improves their handicap the most in that month receives a Polar heart rate monitor.

If you haven't already signed up to Reward Running make sure you do it today. A pop-up will sometimes appear on any pages when browsing the rankings pages, if you haven't already entered, or you can enter on your profile page. This is the first weekend in October and we wish you all the best with getting this month off to a good start! October's prize will also be a Polar v800 with integrated GPS.
