Polar v800

The results of the Reward Running competition for November are out now!

Throughout 2014 Polar have rewarded runners who have improved their handicap score by the largest amount with a Polar Heart Rate Monitor.

The winner of the November competition (and final competition for 2014) is Pierre Dufour (handicap 14.7). Pierre reduced his handicap score by 6.789 by doing the Richmond parkrun every weekend, apart from the last one, this month. He ran 22:52 on 22 November - his best time for two and a half years. In March 2012 he ran 22:17 at the Wimbledon parkrun and is moving back to that previous form.

A very close 2nd was James Clements (handicap 21.1) who reduced his score by 6.571. He was sitting in 3rd place last week but went to the Brighton & Hove parkrun on Saturday and put in his sixth performance of the month, It was enough to jump into second place but he didn't quite do enough to win the overall prize.

Pierre will shortly receive a  Polar V800 with integrated GPS for his November improvement.

We hope to bring you news of the 2015 competition very soon.
