Polar RC3 GPS

The results of the Reward Running competition for August are out now!

This competition, sponsored by Polar, rewards runners who have improved their handicap score by the largest amount with a Polar Heart Rate Monitor.

The August winner is Stuart Thomas (handicap 21.7) who made an improvement of 8.932.Stuart registered his first performance at the Bupa Great Birmingham Half Marathon last October and scored a handicap of 34.6. Stuart's profile then stayed fairly flat until June when he started making incremental improvements and then, through August, the improvements came thick and fast! Stuart has knocked 16 minutes off his 5k time since the beginning of May!

Stuart will shortly receive a Polar RC3 GPS heart Rate Monitor (RRP £249.50) for his August improvement.

At the end of each month from March until October, the runner who improves their handicap the most in that month receives a Polar heart rate monitor.
