The final race of the runbritain Grand Prix took place today and saw the top 14 men finish in under 30 minutes and the top 11 women under 35 minutes at the Age UK Leeds Abbey Dash 10k.

The weather was near perfect as thousands of runners took to the streets of Leeds, including Hollyoaks star, Tom Scurr who had only just flown in from California.

First to cross the line was Matthew Hynes (handicap MINUS 3.6) in 29:23. He was closely followed by Josh Lilly (handicap MINUS 4.4) and Callum Hawkins (handicap MINUS 4.7) . The first woman across the line was Louise Damen (handicap 0.4) in 33:04. Tish Jones (handicap MINUS 0.5) finished 2nd and this result moved her from 11th in the Grand Prix to 2nd.

The overall winners of the Grand Prix for 2013 are Nicholas Torry (handicap MINUS 5.2) and Katrina Wootton (handicap MINUS 0.8) . £18,000 of British-only prize money will be awarded to the top 12 men and women. The prize money will be distributed in December.
