Paula Radcliffe to run Worcester City 10k

During recent times, we have seen more of Paula Radcliffe (handicap 10.3) as a commentator and less as a runner but she regularly reminds us that she hasn't hung up her running shoes just yet and promises that we will see her back in her racing flats!
It's been nearly a year since we saw her run on the roads, when she ran the National Lottery Anniversary Run 5 and she hasn't raced competitively since the Vienna Half Marathon on 15 April 2012. Her handicap, after that race, was MINUS 1.6 but it has since slipped to 10.3 due to lack of racing but Paula has now signed up to run the Worcester City 10k that takes place on 21 September. This is a new event organised by Paula's fellow BBC commentator, Steve Cram. The race starts and finishes at Worcester Racecourse. It follows a flat and scenic route along roads and the River Severn pathways and passes Worcester Cathedral.
We wish Paula all the best for a good run and hope to see a good difference in her handicap score! For more details click here.
