With only a few places left for the 2013 Pride Run 10k it's time to book your online entry now!
Claire Harvey, captain of the 2012 Paralympic women's sitting volleyball team, will start the 2013 Pride Run 10k on Saturday 17 August 2013 at 11:00.
The annual run, which is open to everyone, is organised by London Frontrunners, Britain's largest lesbian and gay running club. The 10km (6.2 miles) consists of three laps of the beautiful Victoria Park in East London.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, The Pride 10k Run has, since its inception in 2004, proven to be one of the most friendly and well-supported races in the capital, growing in popularity each year. 1000 runners expecting to take part this year.
Money raised from the event this year will go to support the work of the Diversity Role Models, which provide workshops in schools to prevent homophobic and gender based bullying by educating students about diversity.
The run begins at 11:00 and runners can still enter online. There will be an after-run event at the nearby Britannia pub with a charity raffle, food & drinks, and entertainment.
