Online First Aid Training Module Available

An online First Aid Training module is now available via the national governing bodies across the UK. While often only basic care may be needed for mishaps, there are times when First Aid can be life saving.

Following recent high profile events alongside an increasing number of athletics events now taking place as restrictions lift, coaches, leaders, officials and club volunteers are recommended to undertake this First Aid Awareness online module.

Where many coaches or leaders run activities out of a facility where an emergency First Aid responder is always present, they should also undertake the appropriate emergency First Aid training that is relevant to their environment.

Athletics training and activities are very physical by nature and on occasion, as with any sport, there will be circumstances where emergency First Aid is required.

UKA, in partnership with Educare, have created this First Aid Essentials in Sport and Active Leisure course to support you to respond to a medical situations during training, whilst waiting for the most appropriate level of medical support to arrive.
