One month to the Chichester Half!

Chichester Half

The Chichester Half Marathon is back for its fifth year on Sunday 9th October 2016 and, in addition to the standard Half Marathon Race, there will be two NEW events to encourage a greater breadth of runner to the event; a Ten Mile Race and a Team Relay Race.

The route includes a mixture of road, cross country and cycle path terrain. It starts at Chichester College and takes in the historic sites of Chichester, including the Cathedral and the walls. It then leads up to the pinnacle of the South Downs, the Trundle, before wending its way back down Centurion Way.

Sponsored by Store Property and Montezuma's Chocolates and delivered in partnership with Everyone Active, the race has already become an iconic Chichester event, which also raises vital ?funds for locally based charity, Children on the Edge.

This year, in addition to the full half marathon, there are two new options:

The Team Relay Race - a great way to involve anyone new to running as the race comprises three legs of varying distances (3.6 miles – 5.9 miles). It's also great for bringing club mates, friends and families into the event who feel much more comfortable with shorter distance but will still experience the enjoyment of the half marathon event.

The Ten Mile Race is a fantastic warm-up for anyone in training for longer races or who isn’t quite ready for challenge of the Trundle!
