New Event Leaders Programme launched for 2021-22
UK Sport are proud to be launching the inaugural Event Leaders Programme (ELP) – a development journey for current and aspirational Event Directors, be it track, road or multi-terrain.

We believe that a key USP (Unique Selling Point) of the UK’s major events offer is the people involved. You each are part of this highly skilled, dedicated and loyal network of event professionals and we want to play our part in supporting you and this community. Our vision is for this programme to support you to be at the forefront of driving events with purpose, leading teams to deliver strategic, ethical and impactful events.
ELP will offer you an opportunity to develop the core competencies of an event leader, learning through experiential modules, network learning and sport-led development over the course of 18 months. It will allow you to explore the complexities unique to events and provide you with the opportunity to learn from experts in leadership and event delivery, whilst building a cross-sector support network. It will also ensure you are able to build the skills and knowledge from the programme directly into your day to day work and personal development, with collaborative support from your organisation and UK Sport.

We will also be running a webinar on Monday 15th March at 1pm, which will introduce the programme in more detail and also feature an interview will Sally Bolton OBE, Chief Executive of Wimbledon - The All England Lawn Tennis Club (Championships) on her leadership journey and reflections on the future for event leaders.
