National champions take McCain Inter County titles

English National Cross Country Champions Keith Gerrard (Lancashire) and Gemma Steel (Leicestershire) won impressive senior titles at the McCain Inter Counties Cross Country and Challenge Final in Birmingham's Cofton Park on Saturday (10 March).

Arguably the most significant victory came from brilliant junior Emelia Gorecka (Hampshire) - pictured - who took her sixth consecutive title in the annual event, while Zac Seddon (Berkshire), in the junior men's race, took his first.

The senior county titles went to North East and Hampshire in the men's and women's events respectively, while the junior team golds went to Yorkshire's men and Surrey's women.
