Mo Farah back on top of the ladder with lowest ever handicap score
There have been some changes on top of the men's ladder! Mo Farah (handicap MINUS 7.5) has, once again, risen to the top, after winning the 5000m and 10,000m in the European Championships and getting the British Record for 2 miles at the Sainsbury's Grand Prix at the weekend. He has scored an all time low handicap score of MINUS 7.5.
Andy Vernon (handicap MINUS 6.9) is sitting in 2nd after achieving a silver medal in the 10,000m and a bronze in the 5000m in Zurich and Michael Rimmer (handicap MINUS 6.5) is now in 3rd place.
The women's ladder is also proving to be very entertaining, as is the M40 category!
After running another superb 800m at the Sainsbury's Grand Prix , Lynsey Sharp (handicap MINUS 2.6) has taken the lead from Jo Pavey (handicap MINUS 2.6) who was sitting in 35th position before the Commonwealth Games! Their actual scores are:
Lynsey Sharp -2.571
Jo Pavey -2.566
Laura Muir (handicap MINUS 2.5) has also run herself into the mix after finishing 4th in the same 800m on Sunday. She is now in 3rd position.
After the Commonwealth Games, Steven Way (handicap MINUS 5.5) sneaked ahead of Anthony Whiteman (handicap MINUS 5.6) in the M40 category but Anthony pulled himself back into first after tremendous performances on the track. He ran 1:50.09 for 800m on 9th August and 3:44.28 for the 1500m on 16th August.
Both Steve and Anthony are British Record holders in the M40 category. Steven has the all-time best time in the marathon and Anthony has the all-time best time for 800m, 1500m and the mile.
