Mo back on top of runbritain ladder

Despite defeat in his 5000m in Eugene in the Diamond League on Saturday, Mo Farah went back to the top of the national ladder with 800m runners Michael Rimmer and Andrew Osagie dropping back to 2 and 3.

In time for the Bupa Westminster Mile event we upgraded the handicap scoring system to include all events from 800m and up. Previously it had included events from 3000m and up. This initially allowed Michael Rimmer and Andrew Osagie, who both represented Great Britain in 800m at the 2012 London Olympic Games, to leap-frog Mo and take 1st and 2nd spot respectively but Mo's time of 13:05.88 in the 5000m on 1st June took his handicap score from MINUS 5.6 to MINUS 5.9 to jump back in front of Michael and Andrew who are both on MINUS 5.7.

On the women's ladder Julia Bleasdale (MINUS 1.8) still leads from Susan Partridge (MINUS 1.6) and Jo Pavey (MINUS 1.5) but the big mover is Hannah England (MINUS 1.3) now up to 4th after winning the Westminster Mille and then a 4:03.38 1500m in the Diamond League.
