London Landmarks Half Marathon 2020

If you’re looking for a fantastic challenge for 2020 that’s like no other, why not join 14,000 runners and take part in the 2020 London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM)?
The London Landmarks Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 29th March 2020. As London’s only half marathon to go through both the City of London and the City of Westminster, runners get to see the city in a unique way, experiencing the grand landmarks along with the Capital’s quirkiest hidden treasures.
LLHM was established by Tommy’s, the UK’s leading baby charity, and the not-for-profit event has already raising millions for hundreds of worthy charities nationwide. With 215 charities offering places for runners you can feel proud about making a difference whilst also achieving a personal goal. 2020 saw entries into LLHM soar, with the third edition of LLHM being fifteen-times oversubscribed. The only way to run in the 2020 LLHM will be to run through a charity.
There will be a charity that touches the heart of every runner. From Alzheimer’s Research UK, Parkinson’s UK and Guide Dogs, to NSPCC, Prostate Cancer UK and Make-A-Wish – there really is something for everyone to support.
Did you know that participating in an event as your goal means you’re also more likely to stick with your New Year’s resolutions? Research from LLHM’s partner Strava, the social network for runners, shows that of the people who set themselves a goal in January to take part in a race later on in the year an impressive 92% were still active ten months later*.
Lia Fyles, London Landmarks Half Marathon Race Director, said: “What makes the London Landmarks Half Marathon so special is that the event is 100% not-for-profit, with every penny going back to supporting the amazing work done by the charities. This year we want to encourage even more people to be a part of this incredible event and run for a charity close to their heart.
“The first two years of the event have already helped raise £12.2m – just think what we can achieve in the future with 215 charities now on board.”
London Landmarks Half Marathon is unlike any other race in the UK. Created to celebrate London’s unique heritage, culture and history the route will showcase the best of London, with runners passing iconic landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard and the Tower of London. The route will also unearth hidden cultural gems such as Guy Fawkes’ house, Britain’s smallest police station, St Mary-Le-Bow Church and London’s oldest shop.
