Lindsays Virtual Road Challenge sees Glen top the 8k rankings

British International runner, Jonny Glen, came up with a scintillating performance in the latest Lindsays Virtual Road Challenge. With around 500 submitted performances across the various ages and distances it was another successful virtual competition from @scottishathletics.
Jonny Glen (handicap -5.8) clocked a superb 22:50 in the 8k run and suggests a sub 29 minute 10k is feasible. The best women’s performance came from Constance Nankivell (handicap 2.2) with 28:39. The best Masters performances over 8k were from John Redding (handicap 0.5) with 26:46 and Shetland’s Michelle Sandison (handicap 1.4) with 30:34.

There are a number of ‘leaderboard winners’ from the Road Challenge with a number of team highlights over distances from 1500m to 21k (half marathon).
1.5K – Inverclyde AC;
3k – Giffnock North AC;
4k – Lasswade AC;
5k – Garscube Harriers;
8k – Cambuslang Harriers
In the Half Marathon Challenge, the overall team winners there were Corstorphine AAC made up from Stuart Livingstone (handicap -2.3) , Stuart Campbell (handicap 2.0) and Aaron Hoyle (handicap -0.3).
Fastest was Will Mackay (handicap -4.0) led the men with a run of 67:42 with the top women’s performance being from Kristin Lownie (handicap 4.0) with 81:34.
