Limited places available for the Mercer Surrey Half Marathon - enter now!
The Mercer Surrey Half Marathon has almost sold out of places. Anyone who is keen to take part in the award winning half marathon or the closed-road 5km run (one of the largest of it’s kind in the UK) or to see their child run with 550 others in what is probably Surrey’s largest children's run, is urged to book their place before 1st March 2017 at www.surreyhalfmarathon.co.uk.
With even more people signed up than this time last year, Surrey’s largest half-marathon is looking to be even bigger and better than ever before.
Pride of Britain winner Tony The Fridge is travelling down from Newcastle again this year to enjoy the flat and scenic run. He described the race as “one of his favourite half marathons.” He inspired thousands last year as he completed the full 13.1 miles of the Mercer Surrey Half whilst carrying a 42l SMEG Fridge on his back to raise money for the event’s Title National Charity Partner - Macmillan Cancer Care.

You don’t have to run the half marathon to get involved with this fantastic day. Why not join hundreds of others for the 5km run? Just like the half marathon, the run starts under the impressive gantry and follows a BMW I8 car along a route featuring some of the best bits of the half marathon.
Or if not you, then how about the children? The Kids’ Race showcases running in a fun and inspiring environment, and with full road closures in place plus a dedicated team of volunteers, the safety of each individual child is fully addressed and catered for. It’s a great way to get children involved in the community whilst having fun with their friends and family. Their achievements are acknowledged by thousands as they are applauded across the finish line, and we can assure you that they will treasure their large gold finisher’s medal for years!
All half marathon, 5k and child runners will receive access to the event village, exclusive discounts for post-race lunches, free bag storage, finish line food and water, professional chip timing and a large gold medal.

The Mercer Surrey Half Marathon recruits over 250 local volunteers to come and hand out medals, and cheer every last runner over the finish line. With a variety of other roles also available, it’s a truly memorable day for all involved. Mercer Surrey Half Marathon Volunteers are are rewarded with a free race place for themselves or a friend in the following year for their hard work and time. The Mercer Surrey Half marathon welcomes everyone to come and volunteer; there is no selection process, simply sign up and turn up!
