Largest Kilt Race

As part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Day celebrations, the Largest Kilt Race attempt will take place on 2 June 2012 in Perth.

The largest kilt race was officially achieved by 1,089 participants at the Perth Kilt Run in Perth, Ontario, Canada, on 26 June 2010. They then did even better in 2011 when 1,276 people participated in the run.

So the gauntlet has been laid, as Perth, Ontario challenged their twinning partners in Scotland to beat their existing record by 2016 - the 200th anniversary of the founding of Perth, Ontario.
