Kate Percy's Go Bites back Bud’s Run 2018 in aid of Parkinson’s UK

The popular charity 5K fun run at the University of Birmingham “Bud’s Run” welcomes back Kate Percy's Go Faster Food who once again will provide run participants with nutritional bite size balls of delight, Go Bites.
“Bud’s Run” was the brainchild of much-loved athletics coach Bud Baldaro, the former UK Athletics Marathon Coach who’s been based at the University for over a decade. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2009, Bud’s determined to use his love of running to help fund research into this long-term condition. Now entering its fifth year, Bud’s Run has already raised over £80, 000 for national charity Parkinson’s UK and hopes to smash the £90 000 barrier when it’s held again on Sunday 21 October.
Bud’s Run is delighted to partner with Go Faster Food, whose commitment to education, health and well-being align with Bud’ approach. In a career spanning over forty years Bud’s encouraged and helped hundreds of distance and middle-distance runners of all standards and ages, including World 1500m Silver Medallist Hannah England (handicap -1.6).
Hannah said, “I love Bud's Run there's a great buzz about the campus, you can have your face painted before the run, bacon buttie and cake afterwards and receive amedal and t-shirt for your efforts. As well as the 5k there’s a 2k for any budding 11s and a team competition. It's a great event for a great cause. Please join us and help us raise money to beat Parkinson’s disease.
