Intelligent running

Meb

After winning the 2014 Boston Marathon, Meb Keflezighi attempted to win the New York City Marathon that took place last weekend. He finished in 4th place and put in a performance that deserves our respect and applause.

Meb Keflezighi is 39 years old and another example of a runner (eg Jo Pavey, Steve Way) who is still going strong at an age when many others are feeling 'over the hill'.

In this Wall Street Journal interview, we can hear how Meb uses other means than high mileage to continue to pull out these great performances. He integrates his training and includes strength work, functional movement drills and cross training on his ElliptiGO and he uses clever tactical strategies in his races with effective self talk.
