Inaugural marathons in 2012
2012 is going to be quite a year for all of us in the UK. A once in a lifetime experience for many will be the The Olympic Games in our capital city and, to mark this historic occasion, race organisers up and down the country are making plans for their event to be the best ever. Some are planning new events to help us celebrate what is starting to look like the year of running! Check out our calendar for all UKA licensed events.
We've picked out three great marathons, that you have time to train for, in the first half of the year.
29 April
This is the first marathon in Manchester for 10 years and entries are flooding in fast so don't delay in entering this one!
6 May
The organisers of the Sunderland City 10K and Sunderland City Council are delighted to announce that the inaugural Marathon of The North will take place on May 6th 2012. This will be the first major road marathon in the north east region and will undoubtedly attract participants from far and wide. Make sure you enter early to ensure your place in the first ever Marathon of The North.
