Have you improved this month?

Reward Running

It's the month of May and the race calendar is packed with plenty on at the weekends and in the evenings. Have you been racing? How are you doing?

If you haven't already signed up for the May competition of  Reward Running 2014 make sure you do it before the end of the month. If your handicap score is going in the right direction, you may be able to knock Vicki Mcdermott (handicap 20.0) off the top of the table.

This competition, sponsored by Polar, rewards runners who have improved their handicap score by the largest amount with a Polar Heart Rate Monitor.

Vicki is our current leader. She has brought her handicap score down from 28.0 to 20.0 since the beginning of the month already. She began her May campaign at the Great East Anglia Run on 4th May and then did two Wednesday evening races on the trot: The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 on the 7th May and the Wroxham 5k. on the 14th May.

Chasing her hard though is Keith Morris (handicap 20.0) who has also brought his score down from 28.0 to 20.0. Their actual improvements are 7.874 for Vicky and 7.283 for Keith. He also started the month at the Great East Anglia Run where he immediatly took 4 points off. He then took another 4 off at the Dereham 10.

At the end of each month from March until October, the runner who improves their handicap the most in that month will receive a Polar heart rate monitor. You can still get the whole of your May improvement added if you enter now. May's prize will be the Polar RC3 GPS heart Rate Monitor (RRP £249.50). Make sure you are in it to win it!
