Get ready for Grand Prix race number 3

The third race in the runbritain Grand Prix takes place at the Bupa London 10000 on Sunday 25 May.
This will be the seventh edition of the Bupa London 10000 and Mo Farah (handicap MINUS 6.6) is all set for his sixth consecutive victory.
Farah set the current British record when he ran 27:44 on the 10km course in 2010, and he won last year’s race at a canter in 29:13. That gave him 450 points in the Grand Prix: 250 for the win and an extra 200 for running faster than 29:30. It was the only race he did in the Grand Prix, however, and so he finished 52nd in the 2013 standings.
This year he is likely to face stiffer opposition, not least from his old friend and training partner Chris Thompson (handicap MINUS 6.1) and Scott Overall (handicap -5.2) who has won both Grand Prix races so far.
The women's race will be missing one of the current joint leaders of the Grand Prix, Rebecca Robinson (handicap -0.5) as she will be away, training at altitude, but will see Emma Stepto (handicap -1.0), who is on equal points at the top of the table, do battle with Emily Wicks (handicap -0.1 ) and Rachel Felton (handicap 0.3) who are currently in 3rd and 4th respectively. Tish Jones (handicap -1.0) who finished 2nd in the first race but missed the second will also be joining them and looking to move back up the rankings.
Louise Damen (handicap -0.8) and Freya Ross (handicap 0.5) are also expected to make their mark as they run, what will be, their first race in the 2014 runbritain Grand Prix.
The runbritain Grand Prix rewards points for all runners that finish in the top 250 men and women with 250 points for a win and 1 point for 250th place. Up to the four best scores from the six available races count at the end of the series.
